In mid-June of 2006, we made our first delivery to the Su Casa Shelter.  We delivered 60 Sunshine Shoe Boxes to the shelter and we met a lot of the wonderful staff and toured the shelter.  Our visit was very informative and gave us a view into the life of those vicitms that seek refuge and help from Su Casa.  The first priority at Su Casa is the saftey and well being of the clients/victims. 

We hope to form a long term close partnership with Su Casa and contiue to provide our special Shoe Boxes and seek other ways we can reach out to all members of the families at the shelter.  Su Casa is welcoming us as a partner with enthusiasm and support. 

Su Casa Domestic Abuse Network is a nonprofit, community-based organization dedicated to the philosophy that every individual has the right to live free from violence or the threat of violence. All services are free of charge, without regard to race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ability and/or socioeconomic status.

Interval House

The Interval House mission is to ensure safety for people who are battered, abused or at risk, to create a public awareness about the epidemic of violence, and to mobilize the community to prevent violence and end the recurring phenomenon.  Interval House currently has five residential facilities and outreach centers.

Interval House Crisis Shelters & Centers for Victims of Domestic Violence feel that the Sunshine Shoe Box is such a wonderful organization!  We are so proud to be recipients of their hard work and devotion to helping children in crisis situations.  The Sunshine Shoe Box recently made a donation of 50 gift boxes to our organization.  The darling boxes consisted of toiletries, crayons and a coloring book, a cute Beanie Baby, and some stickers.  These boxes will greatly help the children who are clients in our Domestic Violence Shelters!  Not only will the children be able to utilize the toiletries, which are much needed items for these children coming out of crisis situations, they will be able to enjoy the fun and creative things that were provided in the boxes.  Interval House is so grateful to be able to partner with such a great program for children in need!
